Spring is here. The fields are turning green again, the birds are singing, and the calves are on the ground. It is a time of renewal and growth. A library can be an amazing resource for expanding your understanding, exploring new ideas, and entertaining yourself with an imaginative tale. It can also be an intimidating series of rooms and shelves and books upon books. Where to start?

Odds are you’ve read “I Am a Church Member” by Thom Rainer. That is the book that we use in the FBC 101 class. In it, Rainer sets out an understanding of how membership in a local congregation fits within a biblical model of being a believer.  A great next step could be picking up some of the books within the 9Marks series. It is a set of books intended to take crucial doctrines within the church and make them accessible to each believer. With “I Am a Church Member” under your belt, you could pick up “What Is the Gospel?” or “Evangelism” or “Prayer”. Each volume takes on a topic that is near to the mission of our congregation as we seek to light the road to Christ.

The library has a wide variety of books available for your growth and renewal as well. Consider dropping by to see what Joy and Marilyn can find for you!
