House2House How-To Guide

What Is It?

A FREE resource from FBC Cabool intended to promote biblical study AND Christian fellowship from house to house throughout the week.  It is designed to be adaptable to your time of life and not be overwhelming for those who may have never done an in-home Bible Study.  That means it will not be exhaustive, but it can be a jumping-off point for further study and discussion.

Starting in December, we will do four weekly videos and discussion guides on the songs of Christmas from the book of Luke. So you can get a head start by reading them and praying for the weeks ahead.

First Steps

  1. Plan: Commit to participating by setting aside a day or time that works best with your schedule.  This could be during the day or in the evening. It could be on Mondays, Wednesdays, or any day so long as it’s consistent.
  2. Invite: While it could be a fine study for you and your family, you will get the most out of it if you invite others to be a part. So ask a family or two to join you.  They can be from your church, or they could be a family that hasn’t attended church with you, but you want to build a relationship with. You can alternate homes or stick with one, but the purpose is the same.
  3. Prepare: Ensure you have the resources.  Print a copy of the discussion guide and find a TV or screen large enough to watch the video. It will be broadcast on YouTube, which is available on most Smart TVs. Go to YouTube.com/@FBCCabool

What’s Stopping You?

  • Don’t Know What to Say: That’s ok.  No one expects you to have all the answers.  This is the benefit of using the videos.  You learn with those who join you, and when you have questions, don’t hesitate to text the word “questions” to (844)213-3625. And someone from the church can point you in the right direction.
  • Don’t Know Who to Ask: Don’t make it complicated. Who do you wish you knew better, or maybe someone you enjoy hanging out with but struggle to find the time? Ask them!
  • Don’t Know When to Do It: We do understand life is busy, but that is ok because you can literally use this material anytime that works consistently for your schedule. On another note, if you can’t find time to talk to your own family, it may be worth evaluating what you can cut from your schedule.
